A forecast from the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted a mix of sunshine and haziness across the country from December 16 to December 18.
On Wednesday, the weather service in Abuja expected the northern regions to experience sunny skies and hazy conditions throughout the forecast period.

NiMet also predicted moderate dust haze in the North Central regions, with horizontal visibility ranging from 2km to 5km.
The southern regions will likely experience haziness and cloudiness, with early morning fog and mist expected along the coast.

NiMet issues public advisory for weather conditions
NiMet also urged the public to take precautions due to dust particles suspended in the air. People with respiratory issues, including asthma, are advised to be cautious.

The agency also warned that strong winds could precede thunderstorms in certain areas and advised the public to follow safety guidelines issued by the authorities.

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) is a Federal Government agency established by an Act of the National Assembly in 2003.
