CAF Confederation Cup: Enyimba Must Fight For Victory Against Zamalek – Ideye

Enyimba forward Brown Ideye says the People’s Elephant must fight hard to beat Zamalek in their CAF Confederation Cup Group D fixture.

The two-time African champions will be up for battle against the holders in Cairo on Sunday.

Enyimba held the Egyptian giants to a 2-2 draw when both teams met on matchday day two in December.

The Aba giants are third in Group D with five points.

Stanley Eguma’s have to beat group winners Zamalek and also hope closest rivals Al Masry, who have six points, fail to beat visiting Black Bulls to reach the quarter-final.

“It’s a must-win match for us,” said Ideye.

“Zamalek are a good side, but we will go all out there to get the maximum points.

“They have already qualified for the next round of the competition and so may rest their top players.

“The chairman (Nwankwo Kanu) has spoken to us and I believe it’s still possible to win this match.”
