The former interim national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Adebisi Akande, has said the party’s government from the tenure of Muhammadu Buhari has been liberating the country from poor leadership.
Chief Akande said former President Buhari and President Bola Tinubu have put in the efforts to actualize the party’s purpose of removing bad governance in the country.
Henzodaily reports that the former governor of Osun State stated this on Thursday at his residence in Ila-Orangun during a special programme with children to celebrate his 86th birthday.
He said though President Tinubu’s policies may have caused hardship, they would put the country on a growth path.
His words: “Today (Thursday), I am happy that our great party is working tirelessly to liberate Nigeria and permanently end bad governance that had plagued the country for years.
“So, I am fulfilled and I don’t have any regret whatsoever on anything because APC was formed as a political party to remove the bad governance that Nigerians endured over the years, and the work is ongoing.
“The party under former President Buhari did eight years and now under President Bola Tinubu is doing it for the second year, the goal is to correct the bad governance that has been established over the years, so Nigeria can get back on track.
“President Bola Tinubu’s policy aims to liberate Nigeria from its current challenges and set the nation on a path to prosperity. In a few years, we’ll see the positive impact of his policies.”
