Josh Maja will spend several weeks on the sidelines after sustaining a lower leg injury, reports Completesports.com.
The Nigerian is expected to return to action for West Brom Albion before the end of the season.
“Josh Maja is set to be out for several weeks after sustaining a lower leg injury,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.
“The 26-year-old striker will undergo surgery in the coming days before entering a period of rehabilitation.
“Albion hope to have Maja back in contention during the spring.
“Everyone at the club wishes Josh well in his recovery. ”
The forward has scored 12 goals and registered two assists in 26 league appearances for the club this season.
