The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has come under heavy criticism for celebrating his son’s graduation in the United Kingdom (UK).
TheNewsGuru reports that Wike via the microblogging platform, X formerly Twitter announced with immerse joy and pride that his son, Jordan graduated from Queen Mary university.
Reacting, Omoyele Sowore, via his Facebook page on Wednesday, alleged that Wike, despite looting Rivers State funds during his tenure as governor and during his time as a Minister of Education in Nigeria for four years could not build a school good enough for his children to study.
The 2023 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) further stated that it was shameful for Wike to send his children to UK schools with stolen funds.
He wrote, “You were governor for eight years in Rivers State, one of Nigeria’s wealthiest states.
“You looted the state dry and couldn’t build a single school where your children could earn a Master’s in Law. What a Crying Shame!
“Nyesom Wike was Ex-local government Chairman (two terms), Ex-Minister of Education (4 years), Ex-Governor of Rivers State (two terms-8 years), and Current FCT Minister yet Wike could not build a school good enough to send his children to study, he needs to send them to UK schools with stolen funds.”
