AC Milan Stage Dramatic Comeback Win Against Inter In Italian Super Cup Final

AC Milan staged a dramatic 3-2 comeback win against city rivals Inter Milan, in the final of the Italian Super Cup Final in Saudi Arabia on Monday night.

Tammy Abraham netted in stoppage time to complete the comeback and earn new head coach Sergio Conceição his first silverware at the club.

Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze was not in action for Milan due to injury.

Inter were on the verge of securing a fourth consecutive Italian Super Cup title.

Also the Serie A champions were set for a record-equaling ninth title, after they went 2-0 up thanks to goals from Lautaro Martinez and Mehdi Taremi in either halves.

But Theo Hernandez and former Chelsea Stars Christian Pulisic and Abraham scored to win it for Milan.

Milan are now tied with Inter on eight Italian Super Cup titles while Juventus remain the most successful team in the competition with nine.

Inter took the lead in one minute of added time through Martinez and just two minutes into the second half Taremi made it 2-0.

Milan scored in the 52nd minute before Pulisic leveled the score with 10 minutes left to play.

Then, in the 93rd minute, another former Chelsea player Abraham netted the winner to seal the win for Milan.
