Maresca Questions Madueka’s Poor Levels In Training

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has expressed his displeasure with Noni Madueke’s poor levels in training despite scoting against Southampton.

Recall that the Blues thrashed Southampton 5-1 in Wednesday’s Premier League game to move second in the league table.

However, reacting after the game, Maresca stated that the England international has drop a little bit in training.

“With Noni, I have a personal relationship, in terms of he can do much more.

“In the moment that he starts to score or assist and is happy, he starts to drop a little bit.

“The reason he was not playing [against Aston Villa] is because I don’t like the way he trained.

“He has to understand that he has to train every day good, he has to be ambitious.”

Madueke has scored five goals and provided two assists in 13 league fixtures this season.
