Paris Saint-Germain president and ECA Chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has denied recent rumours linking Liverpool star forward Mohamed Salah with a move to the Ligue 1 champions.
“It’s not true,” said Al-Khelaifi. “He’s a fantastic and amazing player, but we’ve never considered him, to be honest.
“We know every club would love to have him, but this rumour about us is simply not true.”
When asked if his side was looking to bring in any players in the January transfer window he said: “If there’s an opportunity, we will of course explore.”
Insiders have hinted that the rumours involving PSG may be a negotiation tactic by Salah’s agent to increase Saudi bids.
For now, Liverpool will be hoping their star man stays committed to the club despite the mounting external pressure.
Meanwhile, Saudi clubs remain the frontrunners to sign the Egyptian star, with some sources suggesting they are preparing to renew their efforts in the January transfer window.
