Oyo govt ready to deploy recruited teachers

The Oyo State Government says it will soon deploy its 5,600 newly recruited teachers to public basic schools across the state.

The Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB), Dr Nureni Adeniran, stated this in a statement he issued in Ibadan on Tuesday.

Adeniran, however, said the new teachers would first be uploaded into the state government database before the deployment.

He added that the verification of the newly recruited teachers would be held at the headquarters of OYOSUBEB, Agodi, Ibadan, from Thursday to Dec.16.

The chairman urged all candidates to come with original copies of all relevant credentials, such as evidence of the local government of residence, date of birth certificate, and the National Identification Number (NIN) certificate.

Others he mentioned include educational certificates and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate for graduates among them.

Recall that the Gov. Seyi Makinde-led administration recently released the list of successful teachers as it tries to consolidate the state’s educational standards.
